Alumni poster 600 years KU Leuven
Studio Zwerver
For the alumni exhibition celebrating the 600th anniversary of KU Leuven, Kaj designed a 'blank' poster to bypass institutional control and prior curation. During the open day at the Faculty of Architecture in Ghent, he used red paint to intervene on-site, emblazoning the work with the message 'Free Palestine'. This intervention forced the university into a dilemma: they either had to remove the poster or allow it to remain. Ultimately, the institution chose to embrace the situation, even sharing the work via their official Instagram channels. This tactical success turned a curated event into a platform for critical activism, compelling the institution to publicly engage with the political statement.
